St. Paula
There are several saints named Paula in Christian tradition, but one of the most well-known is Saint Paula of Rome. She was a wealthy Roman noblewoman who was widowed young and dedicated the rest of her life to serving God and the poor. Paula was a close friend and disciple of Saint Jerome, who praised her virtue and scholarship. Together, they founded monasteries and convents in Bethlehem. Paula is remembered for her piety, charity, and devotion to the Church. She is often depicted with a model of the Church or a miniature monastery.
