St. Christopher is the Patron Saint of Travelers.

Saint Christopher was known for being very tall and very strong. He went to a river where many travelers came. He carried them across on his strong shoulders. Some day, he thought, Jesus Christ might come that way. Then one day a little boy came to the river. Christopher hoisted the Boy on his shoulders. He was very light. But as they crossed the river, He got heavier and heavier. " Who are you?" asked St. Christopher. "I am the Christ Child," said the Boy. "You looked for me." At that, Jesus' figure disappeared. St. Christopher died a martyr.

Feast Day is July 25th.

Also Patron Saint of: Bus Drivers; Archers; Victims of Floods; and the Caribbean Island of St. Kitts named in his honor.
