St. Anthony
St. Anthony is the Patron Saint of Lost Items.
We pray to St. Anthony whenever we lose something or misplace a valuable item. We ask for St. Anthony's intercessory prayers and assistance.
St. Anthony of Padua was born in Lisbon, Portugal in 1195. His surname comes from his work during the latter part of his life when he served as a priest and friar of the Franciscan Order in Italy. St. Anthony's parents were members of the Portuguese nobility; his father was a Knight at the Court of King Alfonso II. Anthony died on June 13,1231, at the age of thirty-six. Ever since his death, St. Anthony has done wonderful things for those who pray to him. He has been named a Doctor of the Church, and is widely considered as the "Franciscan Miracle-Worker".
Feast Day is June 13th.
