This beautiful box comes from the artisans in the Tatra Mountains of Poland. Known for their artistry in carving, inlaying and staining. This box is hand carved in such a way as to give the appearance of being a bible. The cover of the box has a hand carved Celtic cross which is then stained to stand out against the fine wood grain of the box. The wood bible box is lined with balsa wood and measures 5 x 3-3/4 x 1-5/8 inches. The wood "bible" box could be used to keep remembrances of a loved one who is no longer with the family but could also be used to keep other mementos a person treasures usch as rosaries.
