This image of the original "Mary, Undoer of Knots," once an obscure, 300 year-old painting which has become the fastest growing Marian devotion in the world. Known in her German homeland as "Maria Knotenlöserin," this beautiful sacred image by Catholic master painter Johann Schmidtner was inspired by the true story of one German family's marital disunity, struggle, intercession, and powerful reconciliation. Discovered and then expanded into a Marian devotion in the 1980's with the help of then - Father Jorge Mario Bergoglio, "Mary, Undoer of Knots" is a favorite devotion of Pope Francis himself. Pope Francis is well known for promoting the devotion to Our Lady Undoer of Knots which has been a source of healing and grace for countless families. This is a print of the original image of the original "Mary, Undoer of Knots" as seen today.
